Dear Brothers and Sisters,

As President, it is both an honor and a privilege to serve the brave men and women who put their lives on the line every day to protect our communities. This Union exists because of your strength, your sacrifices, and your unwavering commitment to each other. Our mission is simple: to stand united, to fight for your rights, and to ensure you have the support, resources, and respect you deserve both on and off the job.

Our organization has a proud history dating back to 1956, when a small group of firefighters came together to demand better working conditions, fair treatment, and a voice at the table. Since then, we have fought hard and won major victories — from establishing a strong Pay Plan that rewards our service, to securing better cancer coverage and ensuring we have solid representation for workman's compensation claims. Today, our Union proudly represents three chapters across Yuma, San Luis, and Somerton, standing stronger than ever in unity and purpose.

Our work is never completed. Today, we continue to advocate fiercely for safe staffing, proper equipment, mental health resources, and fair working conditions. When we invest in the well-being of our firefighters, we are investing directly in the safety and strength of the neighborhoods we serve.

Here, you will find updates on negotiations, benefits, safety initiatives, training opportunities, and important events. But more importantly, you will find a reminder that you are never alone. We are a family, and just like on every call, we have each other’s backs.
