David Padilla Jr.

David is a proud father of three daughters, a Fire Captain, and the dedicated President of his local 1234, the United Yuma Firefighters.  With years of front-line service and work in the political arena, David has become a respected voice in labor leadership. Through years of advocacy and leadership, he continues to work tirelessly to improve conditions for those who serve.

John Dunbar

John is originally from California and moved to Yuma in 2013, he is proud to call Yuma home. He is Captain/paramedic with YFD and has served as Yuma Chapter VP since 2023. He has an amazing and supportive wife, Rebecca, who was an EMT in Los Angeles and with Santa Barbara Fire. They have two young children with the third coming July 2026. John served 10 years in the Marine Corps infantry with two combat deployments. He loves spending time with his family and getting to a beach in Mexico whenever he can.

Nick Rico

Nick Rico was born and raised in Yuma, Arizona. He was introduced to the Fire Service by his Uncle Tony, a recently retired YFD Firefighter. He's married to his wife Cori, and they have two children, Kyleigh and Evan. He's been actively involved in Local 1234 since 2008, with a focus on United Yuma Firefighters Charity the last 5 years.

Tabitha Barfield

Tabitha Barfield has nine years of dedication to the fire service. She is proudly working as a Firefighter Paramedic for the Somerton Cocopah Fire Department. She has been married for 16 wonderful years and is the mother of two amazing children, ages 15 and 12. Her commitment to both her family and community drives her passion for helping others in times of need.
